co-operative commitments + important infomation

these shared commitments help care for our school, enrich children’s experiences and keep tuition affordable.

commitment fees apply only when required responsibilities are not fulfilled.

  • each family completes one volunteer role for every child registered. Roles support classroom preparation, school events, resources or day-to-day operations — without any in-class duty days.

closer to the start of the program, families will receive a form to share their top three volunteer role preferences. We’ll work with each family to find a role that suits their schedule, availability, and family commitments. While first choices cannot always be guaranteed, our goal is to make volunteering both manageable and meaningful.

a $150 commitment fee per child applies only when an assigned role is not fulfilled.

  • each family must complete one mandatory 1.5–2-hour bee clean for every child registered. Held in November, March, and June, these group sessions help us thoroughly clean and sanitize the classroom, materials and shared spaces to meet health, safety, and licensing requirements.

families may select the month that best suits their schedule. If they cannot attend their assigned date, they must arrange for another adult to attend on their behalf. As each session relies on full participation, a $150 fee applies if no adult attends a family’s designated bee clean session.

  • families participate in two mandatory fundraisers during non-casino years and one during casino years. These fundraisers help support classroom materials, special experiences, and the ongoing operation of our school.

for each fundraiser, families are asked to raise $150 for every child registered. If less than $150 is raised, families contribute the difference.

families may choose not to participate by paying a $100 opt-out fee per child, per fundraiser.

  • casino fundraisers are held every second year, and play an important role in supporting our school. During casino years, families must provide one volunteer to complete a casino shift for every child registered. A family member or another adult may complete the shift.

casino participation is separate from the annual fundraiser and cannot be replaced by the fundraising opt-out fee. An $800 fee applies if a family does not provide  their required casino volunteer.
